What have they to do with Futurlogics?
ANSWER:
It appears they have plagiarised the name!!
Futurlogic with out the "s" is not part of
futurlogicS; they are group-think.
Futurlogics is
personal-think using various logics to approach the future.
Futurlogics must be spelled without the "e" and
with the "s".
Futurlogics started in 1983 with
it's copyright to the US Government.
Glossary
Futuring: noun: The mental consideration of the future as a concept, as a potential reality, and as all that is yet to be in actuality.
Futur: verb: The activity of futuring.
Futurus: Latin: for about to be, about to exist. Logic: Latin/Greek: for logic, rationale, reasoning, inference, sanity, system of reasoning: Aristotle's logic, mode of reasoning. Now defining by combining futur + logic + S creates the new word: FUTURLOGICS The is an "S" in Futurlogics because there is plurality in the future, to a person or to the society, because of the choice or choices they make. A singular future
with no detours is known only by God the Father and those Saints and Prophets He reveals this information. Since we are not HE or THEY, the future is
dependent upon free will and agency. Futurlogics will always be plural with an S. FUTURLOGICS: MOS: (M)ind (O)perating (S)ystem
What is a MOS? In computer science an OS is an acronym for (O)perating (S)ystem. An Operating System provides a base to put various
apps or applications to execute. The Mind/Brain also needs an Operating System upon which we can function with what we know. It is how
we apply our knowledge, either upon knowledge itself or upon the things we know about. It is theory in action. A MOS or (M)ind (O)perating (S)ystem
is the theme upon which we execute our methods or praxis.

What mental operations are central to developing DMP or the dual
defined
Direct Mind Perception/Direct Mental Process?
ANSWER:
Naturally the whole mind; but *three fundamental operations of
the balance
between COMPENSATION, CROSS MODE MASKING,
HEURISTICS:
Compensation is the
heightened thought and sensory awareness and sensitivity
due to
a blockage of one channel of sense or thought.
Cross mode masking is the
affect from channel or sense blaring that dominate
other inputs
so as to cause an attenuation or blocking or mode/cycle style
of
thought to the other inputs.
Heuristics is the happy discoveries made without logical
or patterned thought.
It is the improvements made to the mind
because the mind finds new ways
to do things in a "shorthand"
fashion. It says if it work for me I'll use
it even if it comes
out of the blue or it's logic is lacking.

These components are needed to use the whole mind, and are defined next:
CROSS MODE MASKING is the affect from channel or sense blaring, that dominate other inputs, so as to cause an attenuation, or blocking, or mode/cycle style of thought, to the other inputs. The opposite of cross mode masking is compensation. Example, sight dominates the inputs the other senses send. Or sometimes a sound is so loud we loose the ability to see clearly.
COMPENSATION is the heightened thought and sensory awareness, and sensitivity due to a blockage of one channel, or sense, or thought. Example, the blind using all his other remaining senses, to make up for the loss of his sight, will illustrate this effect.
HEURISTICS is the happy discoveries made without logical or patterned thought. It is the improvements made to the mind, because the mind finds new ways to do things, in a “shorthand” fashion. It says, “if it works for me, I’ll use it”, even if it cannot be explained, or if it comes out of the blue, or if it has a self contained logic of its own—because it works!
JUDGMENT is ability to evaluate incomplete data, partial information imperfect knowledge.
CREATIVITY is synthetic thought that combines, builds, adds, to get a new idea or new approach.
KNOWLEDGE is our awakening to existence.

What relation has futurlogics with the "Six Thinking Hats" of Dr. Edward de Bono?
ANSWER:
The relation futurlogics has with the "Six Thinking Hats"
of Dr. Edward
de Bono is that many of the ideas in his thinking
systems were implemented
in the context of FUTURLOGICS © 1983
several years before his "Six Thinking
Hats" © 1985.
There is a benefit to reading Dr. de Bono's books as it
will
assist in getting comparative thinking or what is referred to by the
author james n. hall as a "spur". (A spur is the the
starting of a pearl
in the oyster.) Of late Dr. de Bono
technique has referenced the "Hat Free"
thinking
meeting forum, this is similar to DMP in that DMP is mode free
and
cycle free thinking. This is central to futurlogics thinking system.
To use the terminology of Dr. de Bono work DMP can be compared
though roughly
to the consolidation of both "Vertical
thinking and Lateral thinking."
in a "parallel
thinking" system. DMP is both (D)irect (M)ind (P)erception
(Lateral Thinking); (D)irect (M)ental (P)rocess (Vertical
thinking) done
at once. DMP works in a "Parallel thinking"
system until they unify in
the concept of Holistic thinking or
DMP as we call it; which is the dual
acronym of "DMP".
DMP is essential to dealing with the future as both a
concept
and an ulterior reality. The future is used to develop the higher
thinking skills associated with our relations and activities
twards futurity.
The future strips off the "Hat thinking"
some of us get locked into. What
Dr. de Bono calls a HAT
Futurlogics calls a MODE. DMP is "hat free thinking".
Perhaps Futurlogics could be termed "Blue Thinking" as
it could control
all the other hats in the different circles of
use. Or alternatively after
the "Six Thinking Hats"
are turned to the future a system would or could
be developed
which would be identical to Futurlogics. There are "Six Modes
of Thinking" in the Futurlogics which is similar to the
"Six Thinking Hats"
in concept. However there is also
"Six Models of Thinking or FUTURES" in
Futurlogics
which concept seems to be missing in the "Six Thinking Hats"
version. Futurlogics tries to eliminates "Hats" after
they are created
by turning them into models and then DMP. In
the text of Futurlogics the
thinking system is compared to the
rainbows colors and the kaleidoscopes

QUESTION:
What benefit is there to studying a thinking system such as Futurlogics?
ANSWER:
With the advent and advancement of the computer there is now time
to
do what man can do better than the machines and that is
really think and
make good decisions. The Brain is so flexible
that it can have millions
of thinking system for every purpose.
Man must learn to think again. Perhaps
children think the way we
should and we need a reminder to get back to
that natural
thought process. Computers have given man time to think now
the
competition is in thinking best! A creativity rebirth!
QUESTION:
Why use the future to build the thinking skills?
ANSWER:
Since, we are nearly blind to the future, our mental abilities are
compensated
by the absence of direct input, just like the blind
of sight use the other
senses to "compensate." This
just like the philosophers who uses every
mental skill except
common sense to emphasis logic and reason; but, rather
than
artificially restricting an area of thought one is chosen that is
inherently restrictive.
Also abstract thought is stimulated because metacognition is
required to
deal with the conceptions devoid of the sensory
input. One is forced to
be honestly dealing and learning without
the senses. We learn to be extra-sensory thereby.

How can I learn more about the difference between MODAL THINKING
and
MODEL THINKING?
ANSWER:
If you purposely want to produce modal thinking,
concentrate and focus
thought constantly looking for ever more
specifics. This is not exactly
an inductive process because
logical rules are relative not absolute. Modal
thinking is hypnotic or a suggestive state or mind.
If you deign to engender model thinking one should ever
generalize till
an abstract mental process and finally distilled
mind perception occurs
such as an intuitive flash. This is not
exactly deductive process because
logical rules are relative not
absolute. Model thinking is hyperempiric or
awakening.
These two techniques should give you the material to reflect and
compare for
a feel for the differences and then as experience is
gained this feel will
develop to mental principle through
the futurlogics. That is if you can flip
or change paradigms at will.
QUESTION:
How can developing the six streams of thought that embrace
futurlogics
consisting of models/modes develop holistic thought?
It would seem
that such streams would produce a divided mind?
ANSWER:
The streams are related to each other in an unified schema
underlying
all thought. Three of the modes/models namely:

are time continuum related and essentially embrace the
concept of
reality moving through time. Also three of the

are mind related and essentially embrace the concept of mental
principle of intelligence.
Now these two streams of Truth or (reality over time) and

by the source of thought which is mind. When Truth and
Enlightenment
advance the mind then Integrity is the result.
Futurlogics actually
integrates rather divides. It is "HAT
FREE THINKING" to borrow
Edward de Bono version.
QUESTION:
What technique of thought creates the Artificial Future as
described in
the Futurlogics?
ANSWER:
The metaphor is a powerful motivator or motivation often produces
a
metaphor. When something LIKE another thing is so strongly
associated
that it is definitive but really IS not exactly that
thing it is metaphorical.
Metaphors are underestimated in their persuasion of the mind. The
Artificial Future and its' mode is driven by such strong
associating
metaphors. They are emotionally coined tokens of
expressions of the
future or models. Essentially metaphorical
thought produce the
Artificial Future by subconscious
assumptions.
Habitually trusting your own judgment without verifying the results
may generate such a mode also.
QUESTION:
No one can learn the future, what good is futurlogics?
ANSWER:
Pretending to learn of the future is just as effective to develop
the advanced
thinking that is promised in the futurlogics
system. The point is that the
future is a natural
brainstorming technique that stimulates intuition and
creativity.
Think of futurlogics as an isometrics exercise of the mind or as
a brillant guess.
QUESTION:
Why did you write Futurlogics?
ANSWER:
I discovered that I had several learning disabilities. One
of which is that
I had great difficulties learning the future!
I then thought that since I
most certainly believe there is a
future, therefore it was worth investigating
the exact origin of that
belief-knowledge.
QUESTION:
Did you know that the English is awkward in the text of the futurlogics?
ANSWER:
YES. Creating an idea and expressing it at the very same
time is very
difficult to do. Most creativity is shunted
because the requirement to
express correctly dominates the
creativity. The truly creative personality
can see the
value of an idea couched in awkwardness. Later the
refinement
of hindsight will polish the expressions. My philosophy is to
create first then polish and primp. Futurlogics is a true
brainstorm and
judgment was suspended to allow discovery to
dominate. Now we
can evaluate and be judgmental.
Put on the "BLACK HAT" as the
good Dr. de Bono has
said. Criticize because there is now something
to
criticize. Let criticism polish this stone.
Amazon has the 2013 version of Futurlogics where the language is
greatly improved. It is worth having both versions to see the comparison.
QUESTION:
Is not scheduling an activity relative to the future?
ANSWER:
Yes, the fact that we schedule prove to the mind that there
is
a future. The chapter on waiting is in effect a very
generalize
reference to the activity of scheduling, but it
is obvious that
the details of waiting should be dealt in
greater length.
Scheduling probably should be amplified
in Futurlogics and in
the further treatments of futurlogics
more will be said about
the details of waiting or scheduling.
QUESTION:
What effect or affect does constant analysis have on the mind?
ANSWER:
Analysis is hypnotic? Synthesis is awakening or enlightening or
the
exact opposite of hypnotics. Futurlogics is synthesis.
QUESTION:
How does futurlogics work with a group of people?
ANSWER:
Ideally the principles are internalized and would work
automatically.
But it works with what is called a Delphi
Conference. In the Ideal situation
there would be seven
individuals or seven groups. One cell or division would
be
assigned to the Absolute Future. The next would be assigned the
Natural
Future. And then the third would be assigned the
Imaginary Future. The
fourth would be assigned the Artificial
future. The fifth would be assigned
the Synthetic Future. And
the sixth cell would be assigned the Paradigm
Future. The
Seventh division or cell would be reserved for DMP.
The modes would be applied in turn first with the Retrospective
Mode
to address the Absolute future. Then after the Absolute
future is constructed
by the Retrospective Mode the next mode to
use is the Observational Mode and
it is used to construct the
Natural Future. Then next the Imaginative Mode
is used to
construct the Imaginary Future. Next the Assumptive Mode is used
to
construct the Artificial Future. After the Creative mode is used to
to construct the Synthetic Future. Lastly the Paradigm Mode is
used to
construct the Paradigm Future. During and in summary the
DMP role or
cell will orchestrate this process and maintain
order and relevance. Then
the cells move to the next cell up and
the DMP moves to the vacant Absolute
cell and the Last to occupy
the Paradigm Future will take up the DMP role.
This continues
till all have had a turn in each of the cells. This could
be
thorough enough to go though 49 cells or 7 times.
An second method which tends to use social pressure to control
spontaneity and is less respective of volition and individual
participation
is to use the "six thinking hat" method
of all "wearing the same hat" or in
this case everyone
takes on the same division. That is all will use the
named mode
at the same time. First everyone uses the Retrospective Mode
to
construct the Absolute Future. Secondly everyone uses the
Observational
Mode to construct the Natural Future. Next
everyone uses the Imaginary Mode
to construct the Imaginary
Future. Next everyone uses the Assumptive Mode
to construct the
Artificial Future. Next everyone uses the Creative Mode to
construct the Synthetic Future. And finally everyone uses the
Paradigm Mode
to construct the Paradigm Future. The DMP
individual will conduct or preside
over this exchange of Modes
and regulates and maintains purpose and order.
At the end
everyone uses DMP to free forum and mode free discuss all the
different streams of thought at once. This is done in as many
cycles as
necessary to develop the Zone or vista.
The third method is to let everyone speak up as directed by DMP
to
a free forum of discussion but the statement must be
identified as coming
from one of the modes/models. DMP keeps
this in harmony and balance. DMP
will designate the next
speaker. In this form DMP should be rotated to
the other
mode/models to develop the individual in the various cells. This
works well with small groups.

first order of business toward the vista or
goal.
OBSERVATIONAL MODE/MODEL
Science and Observation is next
discuss to perhaps quantify the vista or

"What IF" is then
experimented with to construct an Artificial Future by
using the
Assumptive Mode.

Planning, Creative Associating, putting
it together in new ways is allow for
the Creative Mode to
produce synthesis toward the vista or goal.
PROSPECTIVE MODE/MODEL
Summarize and project to the future
the results and overview to Model every

Where is the money in futurlogics?
ANSWER:
Where is the money in thinking? All business is meeting the daily
changes in the market place and meeting the paradigm shifts and
making
good decision. Futurlogics can help this process by
structuring it with
even a direction or a parallel. To
experiment is the lot of the modern
business that attempts to be
ready for the fast changes ahead. By
balancing the modes and
models of futurlogics one balances the thought
processes that
are found in the CEO, CFO, CIO, CXX levels of leadership.
The
future plans of the business model are given integrity with the
requirements of the staying profitable. Each mode/model is like
a
subordinate reporting and executing the business plan. This is
method
that can be modified on the fly because futurlogics
teaches creativity
and innovation. The future is always new.

gets one used to dealing with the
frontiers of change. Futulogics helps

QUESTION:
What is Intelligent Disobedience?
ANSWER:
Obedience requires a driving rational. If the world was not completely
replete
with unpredicted results obedience would never need
intervention. But
with instructions that are general in nature
and can not take into account the
possible ramifications that do
not fit, a personal recognizance is required.
Occasionally one
has to break one rule to keep another. Obedience to the
driving
rational should take precedence to a literal obedience. There are
dogs that are selected for obedience to be trained to be a guide
for the blind.
But before the dogs pass the final test they have
to be able to disobey the
blind for their own safety. For
example, the blind urge a dog to move forward
in crossing a road
not knowing that there is an open man hole cover missing.
The
dog should refuse to move forward under command for the ultimate
safety of
the blind. Obedience without regard to overall views
is not in harmony with
the larger responsibility to keep the
blind from harm. Obedience alone is
modal where the higher level
obedience of a driving rational is model form
of obedience. DMP
is both levels of obedience in harmony and oneness.
QUESTION:
How can you increase Creativity?
ANSWER:
Seek out the frontiers of knowledge on the particular subject and
build an outpost with the materials available there. The future
is the most
naturally occurring frontier available to everyone.
Futurlogics uses the
future to provide this frontier experience
to the seeker of creativity.
America is a creative country due
to the frontier beginnings of its past.
But this will die out
unless we provide frontiers for the children that
follow. Every
thing becomes new with the perspective of Futurlogics.
This
newness is the result of the streams of thought that integrate and
synthesize to DMP. This is the natural climate to develop
creativity.
Plus there is the mode/model of the Synthetic future
and the creative
mode. Which specializes is this approach. Find
our frontiers and
set up shop there and produce Art. You'll be
creative. The past
oriented societies will not produce such art
and will tend to perpetuate
a less than free society. Freedom is
the prime ingredient to creativity.

QUESTION:
How can you get out of a rut or unproductive routine.
ANSWER:
1. Vary some element in the "pool." (Pool is the focus and the vista of consciousness. Consciousness can be thought of as analogous to the eye. There is macular consciousness and peripherial consciousness. This is the pool.) a. Get a big picture or vista of the routine. b. See the routine as a model of some larger view. c. Determine what is variable and what is immutable. d. Make the immutable vary and fix the variable to a constant. 2. Follow some ridiculous 'soot organon'. (Soot is black carbon residue that covers everything after a fire. This is the residue of enthusiasm which is the original fire of zeal that has since gone out. Organon is the system of rules and principles considered as an instrument of guidance as of knowledge or thought.) a. In everything there are unknowns that are given names to cover ignorance and provide a quick reference, Bring to the light of scrutiny the true origins of these ornate names. Start with the obviously ridiculous and work twards the subtle sublime names. b. Essentially uncover the ignorance or avoidance of ignorance by drilling through the nomenclature that covers reality. Go from academia to common sense. 3. Change subject return. a. Reverse the outcome of the routine. If it is productive then make it diminish the return as the efficiency increases. Demonstrate how going to school makes one more susceptible to propaganda and deception. b. 'Ignorance is bliss' to 'Ignorance will be painful'. 'Knowledge is power' to 'knowledge is debilitating.' 4. Think about in a different mood. a. Of course emotions melt logic and soften the hard. Or emotions make hard and intractable. b. Realize some will be clinicians others will be activists. And there exist a spectrum between. 5. Get additional data or points of view. a. Stop and look around. Step back and view from another point of view. Look at the competitions and imagine how the enemy looks at you. Or see this situation from your enemies eyes. b. See back at the subject as if from out of the box. Get back at point of inception. c. Review the origin and trace the genesis of the routine. 6. Prove or put under some mental process such as showing to be funny as worthless. a. Change your logic such as moving to an other futurlogical mode. b. Realize that logic is memorized rules of thought. Change the rules and the logic. Set up some deMorgans theorem to normalize. (deMorgans theorem is a transforming postulate of logic. _______ _ _ _______ _ _ (A + B) = A * B and (A * B) = A + B or in words Not (A or B) equals not A and not B Not (A and B) equals not A or not B ) Many rules can be redefined to effect the same result. Logic was defined from and model for those whose vision of the big picture is lacking. If your map or model is enhanced then refine the logical relations along with the remodeling. c. Everything has comedy in it. 7. Leave some part out. a. See how long the routine lives with missing organs and functions. b. learn to use denial and defiance as a tool of analysis rather than to cover up an unwanted realization. 8. Put a known fact instead of an unknown. a. Substitute a perfect replacement to a problem area b. Replace what is perfect with the worst possible case. c. Destructive testing should be conducted to determine the viability of the routine to see it run out of the rut. 9. Predict the future of the routine or rut. a. Prediction, foretelling, prophesy will give perspective to any study. Then start at item one and recycle to this point again. This should create the expanding spiral to break out of the routine.

What is the difference between a 'THINKING SYSTEM' and 'SYSTEM THINKING?'
ANSWER:
-FIRST:
A THINKING SYSTEM can be thought of as methods, models, metaphors
of thought.
They are such as:
"Six Thinking Hats"
"FUTURLOGICS a system of prospective thinking"
"Common Sense" in its various degrees
They can move in and out of the whole or the part with transparency.
-SECOND:
SYSTEM THINKING takes on the whole rather than breaking down into
the parts.
System thinking sees taking just a part as a
distortion or the whole maybe
greater than the sum of the parts.
Synergistic or 'Sick' or equilibrium is the
state of the 'sum'
of the parts of the whole.
Generally therefore analysis is not part of the thinking concepts
except as
an exception . System thinking uses vistas or maps
rather than the focus of
analysis. The splay of synthesis is to
be taught or learned as the synergy
of the system is to be
maintained or increased or possible decreased when
detrimental.
The thesis of modes in the Futurlogics come from one of three
types
of cycles. Cycles are mentioned in the SYSTEM THINKING and they are
generally the "vicious cycle" that eat at itself and
the "virtuous cycles"
which increase and expand such
as the expanding spiral of futurlogics;
also of course the
balanced or non-spiraling cycles that tend to be in
dynamic
stability. Futurlogics is an expanding spiral or is a 'virtuous'
cycle of six connected cycles or interconnected cycles
generating a 'SYSTEM'.
Futurlogics creates a system which can be
studied somewhat with system
thinking; but, like the scientific
method can not study the mind or the
scientific method itself.
System thinking can not study the mind system
except with
reflection. This suggests that within a system there can be
a
system within a system within a system within a system within a
system
ad infinitum. Now creating systems is different from
inheriting or finding or
discovering a SYSTEM or the exact map
of a system. Sometimes a definition
of SYSTEM DYNAMICS is to
setup a mode/model of a real system to test and
examine the
changes as components of the system are varied. The Artificial
Future in the Futurlogics is this type of simulation taken to
assumptive
lengths. Some times a computer model can be made to
examine the
interrelations and flows between elements by
simulation between the
system and the subsystems that can spawn
from the elements. System
Thinking always maintains the original
environment of field or subject of
the research. The Six cycles
in futurlogics produce six subsystems called
'modes' which are
part of the system of futurlogics. This is a 'virtuous
cycle',
subsystem/mode, and finally a model that enables prediction and
extrapolations and interpolations. Thus prospective thinking
takes system
thinking to the next level where time dynamics goes
to the frontier of the
future and mind. Now three of the cycles
are threaded together on time and
the other three are threaded
together on principles and functions of
intelligence. Thus there
are two subsystems resulting in 'truth' and insight
'light of
enlightenment'. These two subsystems have a unifying thread of
mind
and its internal realities. Thus Holistic thinking is a system of
one

How does metacognition fit in with futurlogics?
ANSWER:
J. H. Flavell promoted the word metacognition for 'thinking about
thinking.' The programming language of forth is a model of the
type of
meta-action upon itself. Metacompiling it's own image
after changing
itself by extending its own keywords has been a
model for futurlogics
in some respects for the study of
futurlogics. Java now (another
threaded interpretive language or
TIL) can do some metacompilation
but can not extend its own
keywords as forth does. Metacognition does
not imply an increase
of intelligence itself as a result of reflective
thinking about
thinking. Futurlogics proposes that our thinking language
is
extended and 'new keywords' are added and 'metaextended' into a new
thinking kernel which can be 'metacompiled' into another kernel.
These new thinking kernels by which metacognition is possible
may be
an increase in basic intelligence. To increase
intelligence and
conscious awarenesses is the direction
futurlogics is to go.
Futurlogics constructs a thinking system
using metacognition,
metaphysics, metapsychology or all
recursive and reflective mental process.
However using
futurlogics as a method to stimulate thinking and awareness,

In the absence of words or language to describe the unknown
there must be substitutes used. Simply, metaphor is substituting

is the metaphor. This can be due the the

However once understanding is
achieved the metaphor may no longer

In Futurlogics, all the learning approaches are needed: the positive, the negative, and the neutral approaches of the scientific methods. However, emphasis will be placed with the positive approach as it is under-played in present educational procedures. Favoring any single approach will cause a narrow view, but to counter-balance the existing trends, stressing the positive approach is necessary. By definition, the positive approach accepts all new knowledge equally with present knowledge. No restrictive of inhibitive effect is seen with present knowledge upon newly-learned ideas. First: Review why this information dump was taken.
Second: Presort and select out the ideas that fit the "purpose
of gathering
the mass data" into the Good, Bad and the

Forth: Rate the Good Ideas on a 1 to 10 scale.
Fifth: Look for misplaced eggs in the Ugly category.

ANSWER:
What causes thinking about thinking or metacognition? That is an
even better question. But one answer is 'partial knowledge'
causes thinking.
Immediately one might assume then that faith
would squelch thinking as it is
seen by some as the training to
accept 'partial knowledge' as the end rather
than the means to
an end. Recognizing then what is partial knowledge is key
to
thinking. A know-it-all personallity would follow as one not given
to much
thinking. The opposite is know-nothing-for-sure
philosopher whose technique
to stimulate thought is to not take
anything for granted. Perhaps the
philosopher thinks too much
with inadequate premise. Balance then comes to
mind here in a
deliberation on the cause and productivity of thinking. Faith
is
the ability to do the best with the least as is given in the
futurlogics.
Less is more as my german grandma instructed me
applys to the provocation of
thought. This age now of
information overhead and overload tends to stun the
thought
process with too much data. Thinking then will become the pursuit of
meaning and relevance. With this definition then faith will be a
great
stimulus to thought and thought about thought. With
futurlogics the future
when known in part can be provocative of
thought;that is if one is not boggled
by the vastness of the
Future. The divisions of the future in the futurlogics
then
subdivide this vastness to sub-vastness where thought is provoked.
To
narrow down even further an aspect of the future and prompt
actions such as
preparation and planning or scheduling. Although
high emotions cause action
generally of a temporary nature,
safety and quiet following will cause much
thought. This then
resolves into experience. Thinking is using existing
knowledge

will fill in the missing pieces of history when no
documentation or artifact
can enlighten.
Humble people are great thinkers as they strive well with partial

very good thinkers as they know how to think better.

Is future thinking recursive?
ANSWER:
The tools to think can be turned into themselves and applied to
thinking about the thinking itself. This is metacognition or
(thinking
about thinking.) When a metaphor is developed it is
using existing
thinking or knowledge to discribe the yet
unknown. We can use accepted
known to describe the notional or
intuitive hunch. A seed of the future
is the notional or hunch
level of our cognizance of the future. When the
developing
information from the seeds of the future produce an expanding
spiral or produce a vista, it is a model. When the developing
information
from the seeds of the future produce a focusing and
refining specification
of the future where the refined
information is action enabled, it is
modal. If you are to look
at the future in broad terms the first method
that produces a
model is the best method. If you are to look at the future
in
time and space with objectives or goals to fill agendas it is modal
prediction. When the broad picture is seen then deduction can
refine and
define to the specificity needed for preparation and
scheduling using this
deductive reasoning. When patches of the
future are achieved, then these
collections of perspectives and
be reasoned with by inductive techniques to
suppose the greater
overall vision or vista of the future. Which of
these techniques
is of greater accuracy is a matter of application and
intuition.
These methodologies should assist each other under the
DMP
holistic fashion or approach. Use both to look ahead according to
the dovetail of appropriateness.
What are the seeds of the future? DMP enables the acquisition of
the seeds
and seeds sprout to greater views or intuitions. The
metaphor of seed is
used to imply all the growth potential of
new knowledge begeting new knowledge.
COMMENT: Metacognition is like future studies in that there is a
capacity
to handle abstract thought required for both studies.
Futurlogics which is a
study of prospective thinking then is a
specific application of metacognition
applied to dealing with
the future or the concept of the future. The metaphoric
thinking
systems such as "Six Thinking Hats" are devices to
stimulate more
thought about thought. Since it is easier to
handle the metaphors that the
pure abstraction of the direct
thoughts on thoughts there is a degree of
concreteness to the
thoughts. However as holistic thought or DMP is developed
then
metacognition need not be so difficult but be a form of meditation.

What is logical oscillation?
ANSWER:
This is best explained by a reference to examples. The first
example is
given by next two sentences:
>> The following sentence is true.
>>
The preceeding sentence is false.
Of note here is the next question: "what is a logical
circulation?". It is
illustrated by the following
sentences:
>> The third sentence is true.
>> The
forth sentence is true.
>> The second sentence is
false.
>> The first sentence is false.
Since there is not an external point of view. But the
sentences deals with
each other by a mutuality it will
oscillate, as to their mutual referencing.
Often a debate will
have or use such an oscillation. For the PRO is given and
the
CON is given and the observer of both sides of the controversy will
judge
the strength of each. The convincing arguments of each is
evaluated for
the given side. It is said that a third side
position is the place of
Judge of the debate.
As with the two above exampled sentences the place of judgment is
at one time
with the first sentence then moves to the second
sentence and then moves to
the first sentence in oscillation. In
the "Six thinking Hats" the point of
judgment is the
"Current Hat". And move to each Hat in it's turn and thus
the logic also changes with each "Hat". Since the
current hat is the
point of judgment or in other words the point
of reference. All the hats
create a logical circulation among
the hats. The "Six Thinking Hats"
system then requires
a judge or a moderator to reference a hat. All hats
cannot be
worn at once therefore to evaluate the six dialogues of each hat
each hat needs to be looked at with a hatless position to get
balance.
All this comes from analysis of the positions of "Hats".
All logical
oscillations or logical circulations require a
synthesis of a "hat free
seminar" to conclude or
finalize the non referencial logical wars between
the positions
or "Hats" or modes.
In futurlogics the goal is DMP or the synthesis of all logics
or modes to
models merge into a final place or holistic point of
reference. The
direction of futurlogics is the final point or
place of judgment. So no
meaningless oscillations occur. Now
"logical oscillation" is a desirable
thing when the
proliferation of thought for idea generation is the end.
Thus
analysis is the goal when thought is needed to be generated. But
synthesis is the advantage when referencing a judgment is
required.
Neither of the example sentences is true or false but are
elements of thought
without reality. So there are "true
things" and there are "false things"
and there
are "neither things" or things that are just in
imagination and
cogitation. (Figments of imagination and
thought.) A figment can be of
great import as they lead to the
acknowledgement of truth and falsity.

ANSWER:
Yes, but first Dr. de Bono is getting in closer to futurlogics
every
book he writes. Notice the six as his favorite number of
mental
tricks or metaphors. The future is like the avalanche of
information
we are experiencing with this information age and the
driving force
of computer technology. You know that thinking will
become more
important than information when the software
is/becomes cloned to
everyone. Custom software will be either
expensive or sold to all
very quickly. Therefore the difference
will be the ability to out think
the competition, if free
enterprise survives to be viable.
First mode of futurlogics is the retrospective mode of
the
Absolute Future. Here we find meaning and the genesis of
all
information. Purpose is the inertia of history. But purpose
is not
enough. We have to find our personal place and meaning in
the
information coming from the past or out there.
Therefore:
first review or determine the history of the information cloud.
Second scan
the present
ongoing issue of information from the
“printing
presses/computers/internet.” This the observational mode and
is
the attempt to see the relevance of the information with
respect to
the cloud. This is de Bono accuracy metaphor.
Third imagine
possibilities and missing data from the information
probe
alternative information sources. This the imaginative mode and
model
in action or the various “points of view.”
Forth seek
actionable information that hit the ground running, or
were the
rubber meets the road. Risk and reward make the search

as de Bono has postulated. This is the assumptive mode or
the
Judgment phase of futurlogics.
Fifth
organize,
synthesize, synergize, reify, and as de Bono puts it value
the
information. To plan ,prepare, engineer,
