          A sermon delivered by President Brigham Young, in the Tabernacle,

          It is my intention to preach several discourses this evening, but
          how many I do not know.
            
          I will in the first place bear testimony to the truth of many
          remarks made by brother Hunter, and especially his exhortation to
          the Seventies and Elders, and those men who wish to go on
          missions. I wish also to urge the necessity of your proceeding on
          your missions immediately, and of going to the place of your
          destination full of the Holy Ghost, preaching righteousness to
          the people; and while you do this, live up to the principles you
          preach, that you may teach also by your example, as well as by
          precept. Go, ye Elders, and now consider yourselves from this
          time forth missionaries. If the Gospel is in you like a flaming
          fire, to be poured upon the people, gather your neighbors
          together, and give your brethren an invitation to your house, and
          set before them the duties of man; and preach, if you can speak
          but for five minutes, occupying that time to the best advantage.
          Continue to preach, study, and learn, by faith and prayer, until
          your minds and mouths are opened, and you understand most
          perfectly the love of Christ.

          It is not uncommon for Elders to say, "If I could have a mission,
          and be sent among strangers, I could speak to them, because they
          have not been instructed in the way of life and salvation: I
          could lay before them the principles of the Gospel, which have
          been taught to me, without that difference of feeling, and fear,
          which I experience while speaking to my brethren." It is very
          true that the first principles of the Gospel taught by the Elders
          of this Church are easy to be understood, compared with what it
          is to preach them to our families, or to our neighborhood, and to
          govern and control ourselves by the principles of righteousness
          which the Gospel inculcates. Again, to gather the Saints, to
          preach the Gospel to the world, and convince them of the truth,
          are much easier tasks than to convince men that you can master
          yourself, and practise the moral principles inculcated by your
          religion. That is a small portion of the duty required of you in
          order to obtain crowns of glory, immortality, and eternal lives.
          I will here remark, that it is natural for the people to desire
          to know a great deal of the MYSTERIES; this, however, is not
          universally the case, though it is so with a great many of the
          Elders of Israel. I do not suppose it will apply to those who
          compose this congregation; your object in being here this evening
          is not to hear some great mystery of the Kingdom, which you never
          understood before. The greatest mystery a man ever learned, is to
          know how to control the human mind, and bring every faculty and
          power of the same in subjection to Jesus Christ; this is the
          greatest mystery we have to learn while in these tabernacles of
          clay. It is more necessary for the Elders to learn and practise
          upon this lesson in the midst of the Saints at head quarters than
          in the world; for their facilities for learning are much greater,
          and I will tell you wherein. Let a Bishop, a High Priest, a
          President of any Stake or Quorum, any who are Elders in Israel,
          or any individual Saint from the first to the last of them, fall
          into error, and it is at once made manifest; he cannot pursue
          that course any further, for he is where lie can learn his
          duties, and know how to walk straight in the paths of
          righteousness. Here is the place for you to teach great mysteries
          to your brethren, because here are those who can correct you.
          This fault the Elders of Israel do not fall into in this
          Tabernacle, although they may in private houses and
          neighborhoods. When a man is capable of correcting you, and of
          giving you light, and true doctrine, do not get up an
          altercation, but submit to be taught like little children, and
          strive with all your might to understand. The privileges of those
          who dwell here are greater than the privileges of those who are
          abroad. When your duties call you into foreign lands, and you
          there exhaust your stock of knowledge and wisdom, and you are not
          in possession of the keys to obtain that instruction which you
          desire, it is because you are far from the right fountain--far
          from the body, where all the members are in lively
          operation--where the eye can see, the ear hear, the nose smell,
          and the mouth speak, and so forth. When your face is turned from
          the body, let mysteries alone, for this is the only place for you
          to be corrected if wrong. Preach the simple, unadorned truth;
          work out your salvation with diligence, and do that which will
          guarantee you a warranted deed, an undeniable title to eternal
          lives.
            
          If you feel prayer in you, pray; and if you feel the spirit of
          preaching in you, preach; call in your brethren, and read the
          Bible, the Book of Mormon, the Book of Covenants, and the other
          revelations of God to them; and talk over the things contained in
          those books, and deal them out to your brethren and neighbors;
          pray with them, and teach them how to control themselves; and let
          your teachings be sustained by your own example. Teach your
          families how to control themselves; teach them good and wholesome
          doctrine, and practise the same in your own lives. This is the
          place for you to become polished shafts in the quiver of the
          Almighty. This will answer for one sermon.
            
          I feel much inclined to talk to the brethren: I have not had the
          privilege of preaching much for some time, because of the
          inconvenience of our former meeting place. Now, as we have a
          good, convenient place to meet in, and my health will serve me, I
          expect to improve the time. I love to preach at home with the
          Saints. I love to meet with them, and look up on their happy
          countenances, lit up with the joys of eternity. In short. I love
          the society of all good men, and to preach salvation to them.

          You may consider what I shall now lay before you a small matter;
          but I think it of some importance. When the Elders of Israel
          leave this place, and go forth among the wicked, it is not their
          privilege to mingle with them in any of their worldly exercises;
          for if they do, the devil will obtain an advantage over them, and
          succeed in drawing them away from the path of their duty. For
          instance--suppose you and I, with many more of the brethren, meet
          together in a convenient place in the Valley, and dance to the
          sweet strains of the violin; we could do so with a perfect good
          will: but if we should be called to England, and there have an
          invitation to join with the wicked in their pastimes and
          recreations, and we in our feelings bow down to this, and suffer
          our spirits to be subject to their commandments, we suffer
          ourselves to be ruled over by them, and at once become their
          servants. While I am here, I am in the midst of the Priesthood of
          heaven, and in the centre of the kingdom of God. We are before
          the Lord, where every hand I shake is the hand of a Saint, and
          every face I see, when I look upon the assembled thousands, is
          the countenance of a Saint. I am the controller and master of
          affairs here, under Heaven's direction; though there are those
          who do not believe this. I invite those who are not subject to me
          as their President, not to contaminate my friends; for were I and
          my friends to become subject to those who object to us, we are
          then on the ground of the devil, and subject ourselves to him
          they serve.
            
          Never suffer yourselves to mingle in any of those recreations
          that tend to sin and iniquity, while you are away from the body
          of the Church, where you cannot so fully control yourselves. Let
          the Elders who are going out from this place carry this
          instruction with them into the other portions of the earth.
          Whatever a man does, let him do it in the name of the Lord--let
          him work in the name of the Lord, let all his acts through life
          be in the name of the Lord; and if he wants light and knowledge,
          let him ask in that name.
            
          You are well aware that the wickedness of the world, or the
          apostacy of the Church, is so great, that those who now profess
          religion cannot enjoy their own natural privileges in the world.
          In many places their folly and superstition are so great that
          they would consider they had committed the sin of blasphemy if
          they happened to hear a violin. The whole world could not hire a
          good, honest, sound Presbyterian, of the old fashion and cut, to
          look into a room where a company of young men and women were
          dancing, lest they should sin against the Holy Ghost. This
          over-righteous notion is imbibed by the generality of professors
          of religion, but it is because they themselves have made it a
          sin. Let us look at the root of the matter. In the first place,
          some wise being organized my system, and gave me my capacity, put
          into my heart and brain something that delights, charms, and
          fills me with rapture at the sound of sweet music. I did not put
          it there; it was some other being. As one of the modern writers
          has said, "Music hath charms to soothe the savage breast." It has
          been proved that sweet music will actually tame the most
          malicious and venomous beasts, even when they have been stirred
          up to violent wrath, and make them docile and harmless as lambs.
          Who gave the lower animals a love for those sweet sounds, which
          with magic power fill the air with harmony, and cheer and comfort
          the hearts of men and so wonderfully affect the brute creation?
          It was the Lord, our heavenly Father, who gave the capacity to
          enjoy these sounds, and which we ought to do in His name, and to
          His glory. But the greater portion of the sectarian world
          consider it sacrilege to give way to any such pleasure as even to
          listen to sweet music, much more to dance to its delightful
          strains. This is another short sermon.

          I wish now to say a few words to the brethren upon the subject of
          tithing. It is well known to the majority of this Conference what
          transpired, last Conference, upon the stand in the old Bowery. At
          that Conference I had good cause to find fault with the Bishops,
          and I took the liberty to brush them down a little. From that day
          to this there has been more accomplished by our Bishops in the
          short space of seven months, than was accomplished by them for
          the space of years previously. This gives me great satisfaction.
          The Bishops have done as well as men could do: their conduct in
          fulfilling the duties of their calling has truly been
          praiseworthy, and I feel to bless them, and pray the Lord to
          bless them all the day long, for they have done first rate. When
          we consider the ignorance of the world, their unbelief in God,
          and realize that the vail of the covering is over the face of all
          nations, and remember the ignorance we were once in ourselves,
          having to commence like babes at the rudiments of learning,
          knowing also how faltering men are in their faith, and then look
          at what this people have accomplished, we are led to exclaim, "It
          is marvellous in our eyes!" Were I to say, "Elders of Israel, you
          that feel to put your all upon the altar, rise upon your feet,"
          who would be left? [All present rose up simultaneously.] Where is
          there another people upon the earth who would have done this? I
          have no tithing, but all--all I have is the Lord's. You know the
          word sacrifice: as brother Banks said to-day, it is a mere
          burlesque--a nonsensical term. No man ever heard me say I had
          made a sacrifice. I possess nothing but what my heavenly Father
          has been pleased to give me, or, in other words, He has loaned it
          to me while I remain here in this mortal flesh.
            
          Is it not marvellous, considering the weakness of man, to see the
          willingness of this whole people to die if necessary for the
          truth? How do you suppose it makes me feel? Though I may
          sometimes chastise my brethren, and speak to them in the language
          of reproof, there is not a father who feels more tenderly towards
          his offspring, and loves them better than I love this people; and
          my Father in Heaven loves them; my heart yearns over them with
          all the emotions of tenderness, so that I could weep like a
          child; but I am careful to keep my tears to myself. If you do
          wrong, it grieves my heart, and it also grieves the heart of my
          heavenly Father. I feel continually to urge my brethren to cease
          from all evil, and learn to do well.
            
          The fulness of the heavens and the earth is the Lord's--the gold
          and the silver, the wheat, the fine flour, and the cattle upon a
          thousand hills; and when we fully understand His works, we shall
          know that He is in all the earth, and fulfills His will among the
          children of men, exalting and debasing them according to His
          pleasure; for the systems, creeds, thrones, and kingdoms of the
          world are all under His control. "Shall there be evil in a city,
          and the Lord hath not done it"--or that He doth not control? The
          Lord controls the whole; and in the end, you will find He has
          regulated all things right, for all will be consummated to His
          glory.
            
          The children of men are made as independent in their sphere as
          the Lord is in His, to prove themselves, pursue which path they
          please, and choose the evil or the good. For those who love the
          Lord, and do His will, all is right, and they shall be crowned,
          but those who hate His ways shall be damned, for they choose to
          be damned.

          As I was meditating on the philosophy of the day, it occurred to
          my mind how visible it must appear to all eyes that the Lord does
          indeed work, that it is He who blesses this people; and yet it
          seems as though they cannot see His hand. The Lord fills the
          immensity of space. What saith the Psalmist? "Whither shall I go
          from thy Spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence? If I
          ascent up into heaven, thou art there; if I make my bed in hell,
          behold thou art there; if I take the wings of the morning, and
          dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there shall thy
          hand lead me." I was trying to think of the place where God is
          not, but it is impossible, unless you can find empty space; and
          there I believe He is not. If you can find such a place, it will
          become useful for a hiding place to those who wish to hide
          themselves from the presence of the Lord, in the great day of
          accounts. I will close this sermon, as I intend to preach another
          before I present the subject I more particularly wish to speak
          upon.
            
          My next sermon will be to both Saint and sinner. One thing has
          remained a mystery in this kingdom up to this day. It is in
          regard to the character of the well-beloved Son of God, upon
          which subject the Elders of Israel have conflicting views. Our
          God and Father in heaven, is a being of tabernacle, or, in other
          words, He has a body, with parts the same as you and I have; and
          is capable of showing forth His works to organized beings, as,
          for instance, in the world in which we live, it is the result of
          the knowledge and infinite wisdom that dwell in His organized
          body. His son Jesus Christ has become a personage of tabernacle,
          and has a body like his father. The Holy Ghost is the Spirit of
          the Lord, and issues forth from Himself, and may properly be
          called God's minister to execute His will in immensity; being
          called to govern by His influence and power; but He is not a
          person of tabernacle as we are, and as our Father in Heaven and
          Jesus Christ are. The question has been, and is often, asked, who
          it was that begat the Son of the Virgin Mary. The infidel world
          have concluded that if what the Apostles wrote about his father
          and mother be true, and the present marriage discipline
          acknowledged by Christendom be correct, then Christians must
          believe that God is the father of an illegitimate son, in the
          person of Jesus Christ! The infidel fraternity teach that to
          their disciples. I will tell you how it is. Our Father in Heaven
          begat all the spirits that ever were, or ever will be, upon this
          earth; and they were born spirits in the eternal world. Then the
          Lord by His power and wisdom organized the mortal tabernacle of
          man. We were made first spiritual, and afterwards temporal.

          Now hear it, O inhabitants of the earth, Jew and Gentile, Saint
          and sinner! When our father Adam came into the garden of Eden, he
          came into it with a celestial body, and brought Eve, one of his
          wives, with him. He helped to make and organize this world. He is
          MICHAEL, the Archangel, the ANCIENT OF DAYS! about whom holy men
          have written and spoken--HE is our FATHER and our GOD, and the
          only God with whom WE have to do. Every man upon the earth,
          professing Christians or non-professing, must hear it, and will
          know it sooner or later. They came here, organized the raw
          material, and arranged in their order the herbs of the field, the
          trees, the apple, the peach, the plum, the pear, and every other
          fruit that is desirable and good for man; the seed was brought
          from another sphere, and planted in this earth. The thistle, and
          thorn, the brier, and the obnoxious weed did not appear until
          after the earth was cursed. When Adam and Eve had eaten of the
          forbidden fruit, their bodies became mortal from its effects, and
          therefore their offspring were mortal. When the Virgin Mary
          conceived the child Jesus, the Father had begotten him in his own
          likeness. He was not begotten by the Holy Ghost. And who is the
          Father? He is the first of the human family; and when he took a
          tabernacle, it was begotten by his Father in heaven, after the
          same manner as the tabernacles of Cain, Abel, and the rest of the
          sons and daughters of Adam and Eve; from the fruits of the earth,
          the first earthly tabernacles were originated by the Father, and
          so on in succession. I could tell you much more about this; but
          were I to tell you the whole truth, blasphemy would be nothing to
          it, in the estimation of the superstitious and over-righteous of
          mankind. However, I have told you the truth as far as I have
          gone. I have heard men preach upon the divinity of Christ, and
          exhaust all the wisdom they possessed. All Scripturalists, and
          approved theologians who were considered exemplary for piety and
          education, have undertaken to expound on this subject, in every
          obliged to conclude by exclaiming "great is the mystery of
          godliness," and tell nothing.
            
          It is true that the earth was organized by three distinct
          characters, namely, Eloheim, Yahovah, and Michael, these three
          forming a quorum, as in all heavenly bodies, and in organizing
          element, perfectly represented in the Deity, as Father, Son, and
          Holy Ghost.
            
          Again, they will try to tell how the divinity of Jesus is joined
          to his humanity, and exhaust all their mental faculties, and wind
          up with this profound language, as describing the soul of man,
          "it is an immaterial substance!" What a learned idea! Jesus, our
          elder brother, was begotten in the flesh by the same character
          that was in the garden of Eden, and who is our Father in Heaven.
          Now, let all who may hear these doctrines, pause before they make
          light of them, or treat them with indifference, for they will
          prove their salvation or damnation.
            
          I have given you a few leading items upon this subject, but a
          great deal more remains to be told. Now remember from this time
          forth, and forever, that Jesus Christ was not begotten by the
          Holy Ghost. I will repeat a little anecdote. I was in
          conversation with a certain learned professor upon this subject,
          when I replied, to this idea--"if the Son was begotten by the
          Holy Ghost, it would be very dangerous to baptize and confirm
          females, and give the Holy Ghost to them, lest he should beget
          children, to be palmed upon the Elders by the people, bringing
          the Elders into great difficulties."
            
          Treasure up these things in your hearts. In the Bible, you have
          read the things I have told you to-night; but you have not known
          what you did read. I have told you no more than you are
          conversant with; but what do the people in Christendom, with the
          Bible in their hands, know about this subject? Comparatively
          nothing.

          I will now again take up the subject of tithing. The brethren
          have done well. They have been willing and obedient, no people
          could have been more so; for this I thank my Father in Heaven. I
          could not wish a people to work more kindly in the yoke of Jesus
          than this people do; the yoke grows more and more easy to them.
          It seems that every man will not only pay his tithing, but give
          all he has, if the Lord requires it: still I see wherein they may
          do better. I asked the people to day to assist to pay our Church
          liabilities. The offer of three or four yoke of oxen only, we do
          not want; but I will lay before you what we wish you to do. By
          the manifesto which has been read, you have learned the precise
          situation of the property of the Church. What has incurred this
          debt? Why does it exist in the shape in which it now appears? And
          wherein could we have obviated the difficulty, and done better? A
          fourth part of the money already paid out, did not come in upon
          tithing. This money we have had to borrow in order to keep the
          public works in progress. You may say, wherein could we have done
          better, for we have paid our tithing punctually? But has that
          brother, who sent $100 back to the East for merchandize, paid $10
          of it into the tithing office? Or did the brother who has sent
          $500 back, let us have $50? No; these have used it themselves,
          and thereby involved those who bear the responsibilities of the
          Trust. Again, those who have not possessed sufficient money to
          send back for merchandize, have been necessitated to pay out what
          they had. Thousands of dollars have been paid here for
          merchandize. Has one-tenth of all that money been paid into the
          tithing office? It has not. And where is the tithing that should
          have come in from England and California. Instead of tithing
          their money, they have used it for other purposes, and paid it in
          property, with which we could not pay our debts. This is wherein
          we have failed to liquidate our debts. The people go to these
          Gentile stores, on the Saturday, in crowds, to purchase goods. I
          think we shall not over-rate the amount, if we say that $500,000
          has been paid, in these valleys, to the merchants. But suppose
          they have received no more than $50,000 from this community,
          $5,000 of that money ought to have been first paid into the
          tithing office and we could have sent it to the States, and
          purchased goods ourselves for one-third or one-half less than we
          have to pay the merchants here. And $25,000 more should have come
          into the tithing office from the Church in the United States. The
          brethren in California have made no less than $100,000, the tenth
          of which is due this tithing office. For want of this money, we
          are brought into bondage; and we must now apply our faith and
          works to raise means to liquidate our indebtedness, which has
          accumulated by purchasing goods at high and extortionate prices.
          I find no fault with the merchants, for they came here to gather
          gold by the hundred weight.
            
          Now, brethren, and Bishops, look over this matter, and try to
          think what your feelings would be if you were laid under the same
          responsibility that I and my brethren have upon our shoulders. We
          are required to see the Gospel preached to the nations afar off,
          to build council houses and temples, to cope with the united
          wisdom and craft of legislative assemblies, and with the powers
          of darkness in high places; and then place yourselves in the
          circumstances we are now placed in! Besides all this, see the
          hundreds who come to us every day to be administered to in
          various ways: some want fruit, some sugar, others tea, and all
          want clothing, &c. Then step into our private rooms, where we
          commune with the people, and you will see and hear all this, and
          a great deal more. Instead of every man bringing his picayune, or
          his six pence, or his $5, &c., as tithing on the money in his
          possession, it is all used for something else, and the storehouse
          of the Lord is left empty. Suppose nothing had been put in there
          but what the people have put in, the workmen would have been
          naked. Walk into the storehouse, and examine for yourselves. To
          be sure there has been a little clothing put in lately; for
          instance, there was an old silk dress put in for $40, that had
          been lying for years rotting in the chest: this is a specimen of
          the rest. What are such things worth to our workmen? Why, nothing
          at all. We wish you to put in strong and substantial clothing.
          Good, strong, homemade stuffs make the most suitable clothing for
          those who are building up the public works.

          Will you help us out of this thraldom, and have it credited to
          your future tithing? There is already a great deal more due than
          would liquidate all our debts, but we cannot command it now. Do
          you feel willing to put your shoulder to the wheel, and continue
          to roll it forward, and still continue, you that have faith to
          continue, to increase in faith? for the business of this kingdom
          will increase, and the responsibility also; the labor will and
          must grow, and continue to increase, until the kingdoms of this
          world become the kingdom of our God and His Christ. So much on
          tithing; you see where the failure is; it is in that point, and
          nowhere else.
            
          It is not for any man to think he is a cipher--that what he can
          do will not tell in this matter, and say, "They will get along
          well enough without me;" but it is every man's duty to lay it to
          heart, and help what he can with his earthly substance; though I
          wish you to understand distinctly that it is no commandment--you
          are left to act freely.
            
          Let all the sheep stay in the Valley; also the cows; for they
          will give milk and butter, and replenish the stock. But when we
          speak of the horses, mules, and oxen, let every man look up his
          spare stock of this description, and with them help to liquidate
          these debts. Stock will now pay debts. I will use my stock for
          this purpose, and my brethren will do the same, until we have
          enough. I do not enjoin this upon you, as you have already paid
          the tithing which is required of you; except in some instances in
          the money tithing. Had we received the money due to us, we should
          have had no debts; but this failure has been, and is now, in
          existence. I will take every kind of spare stock I have, except
          my cows and sheep, and wipe off these debts until they are
          cancelled; and now every man who will do the same, let him rise
          upon his feet. [The whole congregation of two thousand men rose
          up to a man.] Do you suppose we want to deprive you of your
          teams? It is not so, but we wished to know the state of your
          faith, so that when we are ready to call upon you, we can be sure
          our call will be responded to. I would not cripple any man, I
          would rather give him five yoke of oxen, than destroy his team,
          and you know it. [Some of the brethren in the stand, not
          believing their own eyes, that the whole congregation rose, it
          was tried over again, to satisfy them, when the congregation all
          rose again to a man.] Brother Hunter now knows what to do. Many
          of the brethren are killing their calves; don't do this; if you
          cannot raise them, it will be better to give them away to those
          who can.
            
          I bless you, and may the Lord bless you, in the name of Jesus
          Christ. Amen.

QUESTION:

5. Is the Adam God Theory Scriptural?

ANSWER:

Yes, the Adam God Theory is scriptural in the days of Brigham Young. However the Adam God Theory is not considered scriptural today, due to the vail(Paradigm Shift) on the thinking systems of today. The scriptures proving the Adam God Theory are hidden in plain sight today, due to the power of definition, or that definition has on personal thinking systems, or individual thinking systems, or upon the curiosity and learning ability of each of us!

If you choose to see the scriptures on the Adam God Theory then they are there. If you choose not to see the scriptures on the Adam God Theory then they are still there, however, you will not find them and/or you can not think of them.

Definition is the key element. If you define Eloheim as a single god you will see different meaning in the scripture. If you define Eloheim as Gods in plural then you will see another meaning in the scripture. This is the key Joseph Smith Jr. gave us by showing the Hebrew Eloheim is always plural.

Abraham 1:3 3 It was conferred upon me from the fathers; it came down from the fathers, from the beginning of time, yea, even from the beginning, or before the foundation of the earth, down to the present time, even the right of the firstborn, or the first man, who is Adam, or first father, through the fathers unto me.

ψαρμακεια pronounced pharmakeia meaning pharmaceutical science or drug craft changes everything from sorceries to the application of a science to deceive the world!

If a theory is supported both by scripture and authority, it becomes doctrine. Brigham supported his theory during his administration, therefore the Adam God Doctrine existed while he was alive. Today Brigham's doctrine has been unauthorized therefore it is relegated to opinion--which has less status than theory. The Adam God theory concerns itself with the Origin of God and the Destiny of Man. If you do not discuss and research the Origin of God, it is not the Adam God Theory.

ANSWER:

1. The Adam-God Theory is NOT The Adam God Theory!
2. The Adam-God Theory defines Eloheim as Adam!
3. The Adam God Theory defines Michael as Adam!

          This is what was taught by Brigham Young as he said:

         "Now hear it, O inhabitants of the earth, Jew and Gentile, Saint     
          and sinner! When our father Adam came into the garden of Eden, he
          came into it with a celestial body, and brought Eve, one of his
          wives, with him. He helped to make and organize this world. 
          He is MICHAEL✡, the Archangel, the ANCIENT OF DAYS! about whom holy men
          have written and spoken--HE is our FATHER and our GOD, and the
          only God with whom WE have to do. Every man upon the earth,
          professing Christians or non-professing, must hear it, and will
          know it sooner or later. They came here, organized the raw . . ."

4. And Brigham said "He helped to make and organize this world" which means that Adam is under an Eloheim! The Eloheim brought Michael here to this Earth.

4. What is the Adam God Theory?

ANSWER:

• It concerns ∞ or Infinity.
• It concerns our FAMILY in Heaven.
• It concerns the origin and destiny of God and Man.
• It is about conquering death at every level or degree that life exist or shall exist.
• It presents the idea that Our God started the human race by procreation after helping create the heavens and the Earth.
• It says that every person on this earth was sired and begotten of a woman.
• It says that women are as much a part of the origin of man as God.
• It says the first human beings of this earth were born here.
• It says that Adam and Eve were brought here from another earth like planet along with seeds.
• It says that Cain and Abel are types or figures of the battle between truth and falsehoods or Jesus and Satan.
• It says that all earths in all the universe were started by an Adam and an Eve and the book of Genesis' account of creation is the typical example of populating an earth like planet such as ours.
• It says that the highest one can achieve in the Celestial glory is to be a MICHAEL.
  
  Man is the final unit of measure and Michael is the fractile of the Universe.
  
  
• It is the "Great Secret" revealed by Joseph Smith Jr. in the King Follet discourse!(1844)
• It says that Adam has a Grandfather who lived or lives on a planet like our Earth.
• It says that the origin of God and the Origin of man are/is the same.
• It says that the Father and the Son are resurrected.
• It says that Our God is a Son of a Higher God.
• It says that it has not been revealed yet concerning the Eternal God of all other gods per the following scripture:
  
  Doctrine and Covenants 121:32 32 According to that which was ordained in the midst of the Council of the Eternal God of all other gods before this world was,
  that should be reserved unto the finishing and the end thereof, when every man shall enter into his eternal presence and into his immortal rest.
• It says that our destiny, if we should choose, is to be a Son of Our God.
• It defines who we are.
• It is deprogramming, causing cognitive dissonance, if you do not have sufficient pre-knowledge to understand it.
  Warning: it will deprogram you, if your mental tools are not fully developed.
  Examples of a deprogram are: Plural Marriage vs Divorce, Intactivism vs Circumcision, Failure vs False Success, Real Future vs Artificial Future, Truth vs Deception.
• It is the derivative/integral of the Endowment by the Calculus of the Gospel.
• It is part of a thinking system embedded in the Endowment.
• It can develop and complete a thinking system.
• It says that all religion with or without a god or gods shapes thinking.

3. Why is the Adam God Theory not taught anywhere?

ANSWER:

Many reasons:


1. 
   First Reason: that it is too advanced. Advanced or high/deep theory or doctrine divide the church and leadership into two camps of those who understand it and those who do not understand it. Jacob in the Book of Mormon advised that we should "prophesy to the understanding." Here is Jacob's advice, with some other's quotations:

   • Jacob 4:13 13 Behold, my brethren, he that prophesieth, let him prophesy to the understanding of men; for the Spirit speaketh the truth and lieth not.

   • 2 Nephi 33:1 1 And now I, Nephi, cannot write all the things which were taught among my people; neither am I mighty in writing, like unto speaking; for when a man speaketh by the power of the Holy Ghost the power of the Holy Ghost carrieth it unto the hearts of the children of men.

   • 2 Nephi 33:2 2 But behold, there are many that harden their hearts against the Holy Spirit, that it hath no place in them; wherefore, they cast many things away which are written and esteem them as things of naught.

   • 2 Nephi 33:3A 3A But I, Nephi, have written what I have written, and I esteem it as of great worth, and especially unto my people.

   • Matthew 13:57-58 And they were offended in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house. And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.

   • 1852 Sermon by Brigham Young Let a Bishop, a High Priest, a President of any Stake or Quorum, any who are Elders in Israel, or any individual Saint from the first to the last of them, fall into error, and it is at once made manifest; he cannot pursue that course any further, for he is where lie can learn his duties, and know how to walk straight in the paths of righteousness. Here is the place for you to teach great mysteries to your brethren, because here are those who can correct you. This fault the Elders of Israel do not fall into in this Tabernacle, although they may in private houses and neighborhoods. When a man is capable of correcting you, and of giving you light, and true doctrine, do not get up an altercation, but submit to be taught like little children, and strive with all your might to understand.

   
   Understanding of men vary and hardness of heart vary, so which level of hardness and which level of understanding do you choose to address advanced theory or doctrine? Do you gather people according to their capacities to receive and thus divide the church according to their strengths and have more than one group? (Of course there is the hierarchical division between leadership and lay members, which is division enough, but we are concerned here with a deeper division of understanding of doctrine.) The scriptures says except you are one you are not mine. So now, we are in between a rock and a hard place as to selecting the level of understanding or strength to receive new or advanced doctrine. So who selects the level? Would it be a level for ease of Church management? Would it be a level to have the greatest church population? The greatest church population would mean greater donations through offerings and tithing. But Joseph said "I teach them correct principles and they govern themselves."

   Now we come to a concept that is often called "dead level mormonism" which means that those who become too advance are brought down to the selected level and those new to the church and weaker saints will be brought up to that same selected level. However this may be, Brigham Young ignored the concept of "dead level mormonism" and taught big things to all. To "saints and sinners" alike; so much for dead level! This means personal pace of learning is ignored and the dead level pace is set externally, with the exception of personal study which has minimal controls and hopefully no controls. But generally you can learn all you want on your own. This in effect defeats the dead levels in actuality anyway and people are saved as persons and not as a group, as rejected in the pre-existence counsels.

   The question is do you give a man a fish for one meal or do you teach a man to fish for a lifetime of meals?

2. 
   Second Reason: it is a thinking system and thinking can not be instructed as other principles of the gospel. 'As a man thinketh so is he' . 'For My thoughts are not your (their in Hebrew) thoughts'. If children are brought up with the idea or theory they will see that it is exquisitely simple. This thinking system will be part of their mental tools for the rest of their lives. Self-esteem is enhanced with the theory and this is a destroyer of social classes and differentiations. Thinking is seen to be restricted to those in power positions by the world where lordship is prevalent.
3. 
   Third Reason: it is used to identify those who would practice polygyny. It seems to be associated with this form of marriage before and after the "Manifesto(s)." Persons who were prepared for plural marriage were given additional instructions. Adam God Theory may have been one of these additional instructions. Since the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints no longer practices Patriarchal Marriage, this tradition is manifest and the church can comply with the laws of the land by removing law breakers. Therefore they, who are tenaciously holding to this view of creation, can be easily removed from the Church, if they are practicing a forbidden form of marriage. Since it explains our creation better, this method of determining offenders has serious side effect/affect, which tends to selectively dumb down the general membership overall. The correct understanding of the Adam God Theory explains why the early mormons practiced "plural marriage." Plural marriage, in most all instances, purged false Christian beliefs from the leadership of the Church consisting of new converts. Notable exceptions mentioned in the April 1852 sermon. The return to Christian "Doctrine" on the Birth of Christ and The Father of Christ prompted the 1852 Sermon in conference. The Michael/Adam pronouncement of Brigham was to thwart this return. This suggest that a future return to false Christian beliefs would be prevented by a cancelation and nullifcation of the "Manifesto". The Torah or the law of Moses permits polygyny nullifying this taboo. Or truth is truth let the light shine in every dark place. Orthodoxy creates taboo.
4. 
   Fourth Reason: it is strangely not Christian and it puts up walls to proselytes--difficult to talk through. It is just too strange unless explained in the "Big Picture," or with a thinking system to objectively handle it. The "Big Picture" is a Temple Concept. The "Big Picture" is portrayed by Lorenzo Snow's cuplet "As man now is, God once was, and as God now is, man may become."
5. 
   Fifth Reason: it weakens dogma (or counter-balances it). When Orson Pratt was teaching a dogma concerning the birth of Christ, Brigham Young introduced this view point in conference to strongly counteract the teachings of some of the Elders who were teaching a dogma to undermine original teachings. True dogma facilitates church management. False dogma undermines church teachings and management. Orson Pratt and others were trying to return to false Christian dogma.
6. 
   Sixth Reason Is a quote from Adam God Theory © 1986:

   Perhaps herein lies the clue as to the violent reactions to this proposition as it engenders autonomy and total culpability and personal responsibility. If one were to socially engineer a people, it would be easiest to mold and shape those who believe in evolution or direct creation from material rather than those who believe in being the issue of woman, because they would be bound by the concept of their origin and resign themselves always to be the product of some other's design than their own family. However, if you tell a people they are free and have an origin and mind to prove it, they will act accordingly. It is because of the facility gained to control people efficiently that the social engineer devise artificial traditions by disturbing their roots and myths or redefining the truth of their origin and destiny. It is, therefore, absolutely crucial to freedom to know the truth of our origin that we may be free to decide our future without the machinations of the social engineers.

   To know the true origin of our past is to give meaning to our present life. To foreknow the true destiny of our future is to give purpose to our present life. It is impossible to deceive a person who knows for himself who he came from, who he is, and who he shall become.

   BENEFACTIONS OF THE THEORY

   It is an ill wind that blows no good. Children become completely absolved of all taint that is ascribed by Christianity to children as being born in sin. In these last days, abortion is running rampant and children are being blamed for the errors of the adults who brought them forth. If children were the issue of a God rather than an Adam who fell and sinned and was cast out to forever suffer, could inappropriate guilt be ingrained into children because of superstition and ignorance of what really is the origin of man? Could child abuse and the disparagement of children as a burden and unwanted encumbrance be tolerated if we accepted the idea that they are direct descendants of a God rather than a fallen rebel? If "Adam" was our God, then forever are our children ennobled to be the children of a god and can only be condemned and accountable for their own acts, at an age where their maturity makes them personally responsible for their own acts and not for a fallen parent. The Adam God theory elevates children to purity, and relegate adults to a more responsible and guilty position, which probably is why it is so violently rejected.

   A great deal of study is needed to further explore the reasons this idea has met with such varied and positive emotional mind sets. However, there are not enough persons who now know enough about this version or view of the gospel to make satisfactory comparison studies. The strict taboo and suspicions of apostasy that are engendered by the adherents or detractors also further exacerbate the problem. It is too bad that it cannot be open to study so that our past can be more readily understood--and our future.

   Seventh Reason: a misunderstanding of the first commandment of the Ten Commandments:
   ( א לא יהיה לך אלהים אחרים על פני )
   
   which says literally "You shall not have to you gods of other peoples before my face." It does not say you shall not have gods after my face or behind me. Joseph Smith said that he would not worship a god who does not have a father. The first commandment thus being misunderstood, many will not consider that they are part of the family of heaven. But we are the children of Heavenly Father who is the Father of Jesus.
   
   Adam is a God the Father of us and a Son of GOD THE FATHER of all.

2. Why research the Adam God Theory by self study?

ANSWER:

• Authoritative research published is scarce or not available so personal study is the natural alternative.
• If Brigham Young or Joseph Smith did much thinking on the Adam God Theory, then if we learn to think like Brigham Young or Joseph Smith, we will understand their other teachings. . We have to learn to think like Brigham Young to understand Brigham Young.
• Joseph Smith taught Brigham Young the Endowment. Understanding how Brigham Young thought about the Adam God Theory may help us to better understand the Endowment.
• Adam God Theory is actual history. See article by Corbin Volluz April 14 2015
• Since the Adam God Theory is not taught in orthodoxy, it gives us a chance to learn by our own research.
• If Brigham Young, who was a student of Joseph Smith, got it wrong, then we can learn what not to do.
• If Brigham Young, who was a student of Joseph Smith, got it right, then we can learn what not to do.
• The Adam God Theory is at the frontier of gospel study because it concern the origin of God and the destiny of man.
• "I will here remark, that it is natural for the people to desire to know a great deal of the MYSTERIES; this, however, is not universally the case, though it is so with a great many of the Elders of Israel. • Successfully solving controversy will more fully develop the mind.
• What a pity it would be if we were led by one man to utter destruction! Are you afraid of this? I am more afraid that this people have so much confidence in their leaders that they will not inquire for themselves of God whether they are led by Him. I am fearful they settle down in a state of blind self-security, trusting their eternal destiny in the hands of their leaders with a reckless confidence that in itself would thwart the purposes of God in their salvation, and weaken that influence they could give to their leaders, did they know for themselves, by the revelations of Jesus, that they are led in the right way. Let every man and woman know, by the whispering of the Spirit of God to themselves, whether their leaders are walking in the path the Lord dictates, or not. This has been my exhortation continually. -9. In the book Adam God Theory © 1986 © 2016 there are reference(s) to the 'Calculus of the Gospel', how did this idea come about?

ANSWER:

Actually the 'reasoning of Abraham' was mentioned by Joseph Smith and this gave me the idea that infinite subjects could be dealt with in this way in much the same manner as mathematic does with limits. When the worlds without numbers are considered as creations multiply and replenish, some higher order of thought is needed to capacitate the mind to think in such terms. Perhaps my interest in math gave me this metaphor to discuss the principles found in the Adam God Theory. Obviously the concept of the origin of God or even the origin of man require this assistance. To understand the commandments of God require us to understand where we came from and where we are going according to the things we do here and now.

Also two other thought principles are useful and needed in dealing with the infinite or apparently contradictory ideas . One is the "De Morgans Theorem" which connects two different logics together by a translating formula. The second is the difference between a stupor and cognitive dissonance. Many mistake the dissonance experience with stupor which is where one senses something is not true by insight or intuition. Adam God theory requires two perspectives and two logics to handle-- without these it can cause mental/spiritual dissonance.

-1. What happens to those who choose to study only one LDS versions of the Adam and God ideas of Brigham Young and Orson Pratt/Joseph F. Smith of the Adam God Theory?

ANSWER:

(Besides, Right Brain dominates the Left Brain or Left Brain dominates the Right Brain, full/holistic brain activity is shunted. TAO is unbalanced or "Right Brain Blindness" or "Left Brain Blindness")

First answer is historically explained:

History of the Church will or must be suppressed and avoided causing a temporal breach to our understanding.

Prophets of the Church will or must be regarded for a time instead of for all times.

An orthodox history will or could be set forth.

History denial is supported.

Second answer is scripturally explained:

Life eternal requires or it is prerequisite to know both the Father the only true God AND Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent!

John 6:44-46 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.

45 It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me.

46 Not that any man hath seen the Father, save he which is of God, he hath seen the Father.

John 17:3 3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.

Jesus is the Son of God. God is the Father. To emphasize Jesus at the expense of Father actually diminishes Jesus as the Son of God. To emphasize the Father at the expense of Jesus removes all mercy for the rest of the Father's children. Balance is the watch word.

John 5:20-24 20 For the Father loveth the Son, and sheweth him all things that himself doeth: and he will shew him greater works than these, that ye may marvel.

One needs the Spirit of Truth to get Balance!

2 Nephi 31:18 18 And then are ye in this strait and narrow path which leads to eternal life; yea, ye have entered in by the gate; ye have done according to the commandments of the Father and the Son; and ye have received the Holy Ghost, which witnesses of the Father and the Son, unto the fulfilling of the promise which he hath made, that if ye entered in by the way ye should receive.

Third answer is mentally explained:

A thinking system requires or it is prerequisite to use both the right and left sides of the brain/consciousness to mentally handle the paradigm shift, toggling between the two view/perspectives.

To be determined to use only one perspective defeats the total mind development that embracing both versions will provide. Simply seeing it from only one side/perspective, will/may arrest full mental development. Also there will be personal internal logical oscillations privately and social conflict with others who see it from the other view. This is called Cross Mode Masking and can cause one to be blind to other perspectives. There can be excessive compensation cause by this blindness. Empathy is also impaired if not eliminated. Judgment is also diminished such that incomplete data/information befuddles the mind. Mental views/operations are generally skewed.*

The opposite of cross mode masking is compensation. Example, sight dominates the inputs the other senses send. Or sometimes a sound is so loud we loose the ability to see clearly.

COMPENSATION is the heightened thought and sensory awareness, and sensitivity due to a blockage of one channel, or sense, or thought. Example, the blind using all his other remaining senses, to make up for the loss of his sight, will illustrate this effect.

HEURISTICS is the happy discoveries made without logical or patterned thought. It is the improvements made to the mind, because the mind finds new ways to do things, in a “shorthand” fashion. It says, “if it works for me, I’ll use it”, even if it cannot be explained, or if it comes out of the blue, or if it has a self contained logic of its own-because it works!

JUDGMENT is ability to evaluate incomplete data, partial information imperfect knowledge.

CREATIVITY is synthetic thought that combines, builds, adds, to get a new idea or new approach.

KNOWLEDGE is our awakening to existence.




Simply: mind development is shunted and deep learning is prevented and advanced thinking stopped!




Fourth answer is a common sense explanation:

Seeing/thinking only in terms of specifics loses the meaning of those specifics.

Seeing/thinking only in terms of generalities loses the scope of those generalities.

Seeing/thinking in terms of generalities and specifics finds scope and meaning or understanding.




Fifth answer is doctrinally explained:

Denying the truth in the opposing view(s) will increase the disputations and/or contentions so that common ground is ignored. Blindness to the other sides valid offerings of evidence leads to the mutual excommunication of both sides. "World view" or the perspective of those whom you seek to convert must be included in the invitation, to feel the importance or relevance of their view.

To be a peacemaker one must understand all points of contention and all thinking in dispute, lest violence be the solution.

3 Nephi 11:28-41 28 And according as I have commanded you thus shall ye baptize.

And there shall be no disputations among you, as there have hitherto been; neither shall there be disputations among you concerning the points of my doctrine, as there have hitherto been.

Suppressing questions by exercising unrighteous dominion and authority, where opinions are the result of righteous inquiry fuels destructive controversy. Orthodoxy does well to protect the weak and the young, but should stand back for the strong and mature.

Adam was Michael who was chosen in the pre-existent counsels and was a spirit personage. A PERSON with a body was needed to do the work for and in behalf of Michael to start the Human Race; this PERSON is MICHAEL a SENIOR MICHAEL WHO does proxy work for Junior Michael Who, will at some point later inherit this mantle. Definition of a REGENT?

If you do work for the dead in a Latter Day Saint Temple you are a regent for the dead. If you are baptized for the dead, you are not baptized again for yourself but you act as a regent for and in behalf of the person who is dead.

If a king turns his kingdom over to a prince who is a minor and too young to rule, a regent or regents are set to manage the kingdom until the young prince grows in majority and experience to be the king indeed.

There may be at least nine general approaches to explain ADAMS role in the creation of man itemized next:

• First Theory Version

Adam was created from this earth's dust and after having been formed was given the breath of life. He then fell and became the father of this worlds mortality. Eve was created from "Adam's rib" in a literal sense as if she were a female clone of Adam.

• Second Theory Version

Adam was the third member of a Presidency of Heaven and was given life after a long sleep. His origin varies according to the belief in the role that His Father had in his coming to life and receiving the breath of life. He fell through a divine plan for the salvation of mankind in this earth trial. (Essentially this is a magic view as Adam appears as if by magic as if it is just "accepted" God placed Adam in his position with no importance assign to the knowledge of his origin.) (this version added in 2003)

• Third Theory Version

Adam is a Son of God in a literal sense. Adam's Father is defined as a SENIOR ADAM and our Earth's Adam is defined as a Junior Adam or our Adam. This makes the introduction of mankind to the Earth a double birth/begotten operation or a two phase event. It was Adam Junior who fell and died. It defines SENIOR ADAM as Eloheim. Therefore SENIOR ADAM begets the body of Junior Adam who fell and died and Jesus. The question not answered is how did SENIOR ADAM beget a body instead of a spirit as SENIOR ADAM is the Father of Adam Junior's spirit also. So ADAM SENIOR is the immediate Father of Adam Junior's body and spirit. Or Adam Senior is the Common Father of Adam Junior! Also ADAM SENIOR is the Common Father of Jesus Christ!! This version causes these problems:

If the "first man is called Adam," then how can there be two first man?

This two ADAM theory makes us the grandchildren of GOD rather than the children of God.

So far it has never been presented, the possible idea that ADAM SENIOR is also a MICHAEL SENIOR. If there is an ADAM SENIOR and an Adam Junior, then there is a MICHAEL SENIOR and a Michael Junior. Also Adam Junior becomes an Eloheim Junior! All become doubling of every thing.


• Fourth Theory Version

Adam is and was the God who was the Savior from a previous earth and received life in Himself such that He could die and live at will. This version puts Adam as a Son of an Adam who is a Son of an Adam ad infinitum. The fall was merely a process of creation and was not a transgression of law but a kind of miracle we only could understand if we were likewise to be given life in oneself.

• Fifth Theory Version

This theory is a result of rejecting the original views and propositions of Brigham Young and the effort to replace it with an 'idea' that builds a 'Cosmic' Christ. In this view the pre-mortal Christ is the creator of man's body. The Father is somewhat eclipsed such as the moon eclipses the sun. Since the Atonement of Christ is infinite in its defined effect; it is to save people of the other earths in the cosmos. In this version the reason Christ chose this Earth to come to do His atonement is that it is the wickedest of all creations. By overcoming this Earth the atonement will be more effective to the Universe of Earths less wicked. This 'idea' uses the principle that Christ descended below all things to be above all things. • Sixth Theory Version

This version proposes that no one knows what Brigham meant. The downside of this version is that it makes Brigham a poor teacher. The upside of this version is that we can suspend discussion over the matter until we can get a mind that is the equal of Brigham to explain what he meant. • Seventh Theory Version

This version proposes that Brigham is/was wrong. And, if those who propose Brigham is/was wrong are wrong then, this sets up logical oscillations and a vortex of authority wars. Bruce R. McConkie proposed that there were two Brigham Young(s). One who was orthodox and one who was unorthodox. "and the issue becomes one of which Brigham Young we will believe?"

• Eighth Theory Version

This version has its origin in Science and Social Engineering, to remove religious theory to make a compliant people. Social Engineering is facilitated by theory of origins. In Brigham Young's library are some of Darwin's works he studied. This version is added here as an example of non religious or an areligious "world view" to exemplify the effect/affect of self-definition, coming from a belief or theory on behavior and thought.

• Ninth Theory Version

This version is a method to emphasize the role of Jesus, such that the mention of the Father is eclipsed in the grandeur of Christ. It is accomplished by barely mentioning the Father except where necessary and required through scriptural mandates. Thus the Adam God Theory is set in the background to Christ; however the scriptures below say, be careful:

2 Nephi 25:26 26 And we talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, we prophesy of Christ, and we write according to our prophecies, that our children may know to what source they may look for a remission of their sins.

Jacob 4:5 5 Behold, they believed in Christ and worshiped the Father in his name, and also we worship the Father in his name.

3 Nephi 27:13-18 13 Behold I have given unto you my gospel, and this is the gospel which I have given unto you--that I came into the world to do the will of my Father, because my Father sent me. 14 And my Father sent me that I might be lifted up upon the cross; and after that I had been lifted up upon the cross, that I might draw all men unto me, that as I have been lifted up by men even so should men be lifted up by the Father, to stand before me, to be judged of their works, whether they be good or whether they be evil-- 15 And for this cause have I been lifted up; therefore, according to the power of the Father I will draw all men unto me, that they may be judged according to their works. 16 And it shall come to pass, that whoso repenteth and is baptized in my name shall be filled; and if he endureth to the end, behold, him will I hold guiltless before my Father at that day when I shall stand to judge the world. 17 And he that endureth not unto the end, the same is he that is also hewn down and cast into the fire, from whence they can no more return, because of the justice of the Father. 18 And this is the word which he hath given unto the children of men.

John 17:3 3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.

None the less, Jesus said my Father is greater than I and I and my Father are one and I came to do the will of the Father. Further more, one must know the identity, character, perfections, attributes, purposes, plans, works of the Father to understand Jesus. Therefore the method of this version will instead diminish Jesus rather than cause Jesus to loom greater than the Father.

QUESTION:

-2. Why is it difficult to find authoritative research on the Adam God Idea?

ANSWER:

Authoritative research today requires education and education leans toward evolution as an explanation of man's origin rather than an Adam with Eve.

Trying to find what Brigham actually taught is a task that seems to be avoided by most members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints. There is a fear that he actually taught from the position of the First Presidency, a doctrine that is not sustainable in today's views. Or, there is a denial, that persist to maintain a doctrinal simplicity that is easier to teach on a global scale. However this may be, there is great profundity in the advanced teachings of Brigham Young; for, during the time he was introducing this view of creation April 1852 (Adam God Theory existed before Joseph Smith's death June 1844), the theory of evolution by Charles Darwin was being promoted and generated acceptance in the academic circles (beginning January 1844 to November 1859-the date of publication of "Origin of Species").

Perhaps the Adam God Theory is the best answer yet to the secular humanist view of man, as a product of the evolutionary soup of the primal beginnings of earth, as seen by today's Godless social movements that will promote a moral degradation. This degrades man as a product of nature and not a descendant of an advanced being with an eternal plan.

Also, the Adam Ideas of Brigham Young were part of the beginning LDS Temple Endowment. The Temple teachings are to be restricted to approved members with temple recommends. Even though, Brigham spoke of them in General Conference with the 1852 sermon.

0. Can God create new additional knowledge to the total knowledge bank??

ANSWER:

YES.

God can meta-learn and meta-think and meta-comprehend to add new intelligence to the bank of infinite knowledge.

God eternally progresses with new thoughts. These will or could become plans.

-10. What is meant by the phrase "Calculus of the Gospel?"

ANSWER:

The "Adam God Theory" is based upon mathematical principles found in higher math, where infinite series and digression limits are determined or integrated. Persons who have studied the Calculus should find a familiar tone and tenor to the Adam God Theory propositions. If those who live on other planets were to visit, it would be found that the universal language of the universe would be numbers and mathematical principles. Like the elements that make up the constituents of all things, they are eternal and consistent from all levels of existence, and there is also the principle of the de Morgan theorem, theory of limits, differentiation, integration, series, logic etc. All truth is independent in the sphere in which it is created, math is in the sphere of the Adam God Theory. A math major is not necessary to understand the "Green Book" (Adam God Theory © 1986) but it helps. There is a leap of logic that takes place when one advances from the Arithmetic to the Algebra and from the Algebra to the Calculus. Likewise there is the leap of faith and logic going from Allegory of Creation to the Adam God Theory. It is a gestalt of understanding.

6. Brigham said Adam was brought here from another planet. Then what are the fossil records of creatures or animals that resemble man?

What was Lucifer doing on Earth when no place was found for him in Heaven?

Since Lucifer was denied a body, could he have modified existing life forms to simulate a body to inhabit?

If his followers could inhabit swine, then why not build bodies to get corporal?

Are these hominids fossils evidence of Lucifer's influence upon the biology of this Earth to genetically engineer a body he was denied because of the curse?

The similar Hominids to man are not descendants of Adam, therefore they are not literal descendants of Adam! The descendants of Adam did not evolve from a lower life form, but are the begotten descendants of a higher life entity from another planet sphere.

-8B. How do you account for the story of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden in view of the Adam God Theory?

ANSWER:

The Adam and Eve Story is a metaphor or a similitude of the pre-existent state of man. Adam and Eve represent the Creative Origin of man. Cain represents Lucifer and later becomes Satan as a vagabond and fugitive on the run on earth. Abel represents the mortal Messiah and the atonement. Seth the replacement of Abel represents the resurrection of Jesus. The battle over the offerings to be accepted by Cain and Abel, is a type of the War in Heaven over the Plan of Salvation. Since Abel's offering, a keeper of flocks, was accepted by faith in the Messiah. Where Cain is offering the products of the earth or vegetables, we see the two plans that were offered to the Father in the pre-existence. Lucifer being cast out and becoming Satan is the type of Cain being cursed. This type is through out the book of Genesis. But as with all the types and parables of the scriptures, there is parallel meanings in these teachings, and even multi-layered meanings. The Adam God Theory only highlights one of these layers of meaning, in a metaphoric way. Adam is our God is the metaphor, to help us understand where we came from, and where Adam came from!

-8. Does the Adam God Theory limit God, making God just a man?

ANSWER:

All Religions including Christianity limit God, making Him incapable of creating a duplicate of Himself. Most religions say that God can create anything except Satan and another God as powerful as Himself. In this view, if God can make a duplicate of Himself as He is self-existent, or just is, and not a created being in the first place; so, if God creates one like Himself then the second God is not like Him as He is created by the first God and therefor not self-existing! Also God cannot create evil as this would mean then, evil comes from God and therefor God is evil and if only good can come from God therefor evil is good. Yet, if He created Lucifer who created himself to be Satan by God's gift of free will, but if God created free will, so God indirectly created Satan from Lucifer. Satan is the father of lies. But it is said "God cannot lie."

God must have limits, such as He cannot lie. God cannot break a promise. God cannot deceive man. Yet God cannot disclose the whole truth to man, except when man has proven himself worthy of the greater truth according to His purposes, therefor God has set the "flaming sword to guard the way of the tree of life" to prevent man from achieving immortality in his sins, thus making man the transhumanist's dream come true. God's greatest power is that He can limit Himself. God limits Himself so He can delegate His attributes to his children. God limits Himself so man can have free will and a moral agency.

The Constitution of the United States of America is a limiting document, designed to prevent a totalitarian government. Some say God is All Powerful therefore we must not be free because He is involved in us and all we do. But God limits Himself that we may be both tested and free. Some question why does God let all these things happen to us? Could it be that He is letting us solve our own problems, for a test and for our free agency? Perhaps, let us consider that the greatest miracle of all is, that God can limit what influence He has over all things. The Adam God Theory will engender in man a greater sense of these freedoms, that God has extended for our own development(s). The war in heaven was over the eternal battle of 'security vs freedom.' Lucifer offered assured salvation, where Jesus provided a continuation of the Fathers limited government and self-development; and the opportunity to overcome the risks of life by taking upon us his name. The God who is always All powerful is responsible for complete destiny and choices of man. The Adam God Theory is like the Constitution of the United States, we must defend ourselves by keeping the commandments of God. This is the Salvation that requires our own initiative. Satan in the last days will offer security if we surrender our freedom-this is the Chains of Hell. Jesus will return again when man has gone as far as he can go on his own. Then He will assist us to the next level, to prepare the Earth for the return of the FATHER. The grace of God should be seen as the opportunity given us, to work out our own salvation with the Spirit of God as our personal Regent. Jesus also is our Regent to help us.

What is the potential of man? What if man ascends to his full potential?

-5. Does the Mormon concept that 'God was once a man' make God too feeble to save mankind or have any sway in the universe?

ANSWER:

A God who has always been (a) God, puts man in his place as a creature only, destined and predestined by His fashioner. This is like a big government view where each(creature) is a subject to a species apart(God), such as: the noble of Europe who considered themselves to be above(divine right of kings), those(common man), who(common man) they(nobles) ruled and taxed. If by being children of a God(who was once a man), then we are all noble by birthright. Simply, God as a man once, does away with the so called divine right of kings. But then who should rule, so that there may be order? Jesus of course is the only one who has this right, by merit of His great work in Judea. One of the lowliest angels in heaven could with ease defeat the whole armies of the Earth. God is so much more than all the angels put together and lacks nothing to save. And scriptures have declared that He is mighty to save. The war for men's minds will polarize to two camps. One camp will have a cosmic Savior, who guarantees security at the expense of freedom. The other camp will have the meek and lowly Savior, who entreats by restraint and governs by teaching correct principles, specifying that freedom means: risks follow as the price of freedom. Indeed the political arenas of the Earth will also so polarize. God having been a man once, in nowise means He can not save to the uttermost degree. Those who think so lack understanding of their own origin.

All who think that the Mormon God is lessened because of His origin, does not understand the hope this knowledge gives the faithful. Many would build up God beyond His real station, to assuage their own fears of living in this world. By exaggerating the nature and origin of God, there is the bombastic display before the fearful, that the All Powerful can take care of any fear, even with no effort on their own part. Truly God is All Powerful in every respect, even in every respect to the lessons that we must learn, for having been sent to this Earth to experience mortality. This hope is animated within each of us, due to the great Model and Example of The Father and His Son. Simply, if Our Father Who was once a man as we are now, succeeded to such great heights; then we, if we attain the same light and knowledge could achieve the same. Jesus is the Example of How this is done. Contrary to even some mormons of modern orientation, Jesus is just like all of us, and worked out his own mission on Earth, as we should. He started from humble beginnings, then grew in grace and truth to inherit the mantle of the Great Jehovah. Truly angels helped him on the way to His final ascension with His God and Our God and His Father and Our Father. Why would angels be needed to help an one already God, as some purports? Those who understand the Law of Eternal Progression, should see the place of Eternal Proxy Subrogation, to provide Regents to act in our behalf, until we can go on our own and do likewise. From whence then does these "exaggerations" come? A God who was once a man and we are His progeny, ennobles each man!

No. The Woman who became Eve was born on another planet and was brought here to become EVE. She is one of Michaels wives. Before Michael became Adam, She was married and sealed to Michael in some pre-Earth world. Therefore She is His eternal companion.

The Brick Theory is that Adam was created from inanimate matter or dust. In this case God elected to make Eve secondarily from flesh and bone(rib) or perhaps from Adam's DNA. This suggest that at least one of our ancestors was a clone. Of course God has the knowledge and technology to clone humans. But the pattern was set for each of us to procreate. Without the Adam God Theory some persons are created, 'cloned', and the rest are procreated. In the Adam God Theory all persons are procreated even Adam and Eve. This difference between creation of people and procreation of people is the hinge, between the Adam God Theory and all the rest of the rationalizations concerning the origin of Man, for example Panspermia Theory.

Panspermia Theory suggests life exists beyond our world and came here by some transport. Adam God Theory is an order of magnitude beyond Panspermia Theory. Our ancestry came from another earthlike planet.

It was very intriguing to me that a religion should have such a biocular view point as in the actual, original teachings of Brigham Young, who was tutored by a prophet.

Using a separate thinking system helps the study of the scriptures or any "QUESTION:" concerning it. FUTURLOGICS is a way of studying it out in your mind. This has been suggested in the Doctrine and Covenants. I have taken this advice seriously. This passage is quoted below:

7 Behold, you have not understood; you have supposed that I would give it unto you, when you took no thought save it was to ask me.

8 But, behold, I say unto you, that you must study it out in your mind; then you must ask me if it be right, and if it is right I will cause that your bosom shall burn within you; therefore, you shall feel that it is right.

Notice: the burning vs the stupor both come from deity. There appears to be a possibility that the better the study method the better the communication to be received.

Notice: The study method referred as "if you had known this" is like a low order Thinking System or the beginning of a Thinking System or a MOS which is a Mental Operating System or Pre-knowledge.

Notice: Thinking is best with a method or design or plan or a system. Meta-thinking is where you use your thinking to improve your thinking, it is meta-cognition applied to your thinking skill, or your thinking habits, or your mental self-improvement.
