Mormon 9:32-33
And now, behold, we have written this record according to our knowledge, in the characters which are called among us the reformed Egyptian, being handed down and altered by us, according to our manner of speech.
And if our plates had been sufficiently large we should have written in Hebrew; but the Hebrew hath been altered by us also; and if we could have written in Hebrew, behold, ye would have had no imperfection in our record.

And the vision of all is become unto you as the words of a book that is sealed,
which men deliver to one that is learned, saying,
Read this, I pray thee:
and he saith, I cannot; for it is sealed:
And the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying,
Read this, I pray thee:
and he saith, I am not learned.

Egbert Bratt Grandin born March 30, 1806 died April 16, 1845 was the printer and John H. Gilbert was the typesetter(compositor) in Palmyra, New York,
they/who put the punctuation and certain changes in the Book of Mormon that cannot be corrected except the original manuscript is found.
This original manuscript was lost or destroyed.
